This afternoon, students took a field trip to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). They first heard from staff about their careers with the DEA and what the administration aims to achieve. Students learned about the dangers of fentanyl-laced fake prescription pills and what the DEA is doing to help fight the rising epidemic of accidental fentanyl fatalities. Students then visited the DEA museum, with a guided tour by the DEA Curator of Education, Josh Edmundson. Interactive displays educated students about the history of drugs in America and the science of drug misuse prevention.
