Campaign Simulation Primary Election

Today, POLI students held their primary election for their mock presidential campaign. Students were assigned to political parties and six students ran for election after spending the past few days preparing. Students gathered today to place their votes, with delegates representing each state. After announcing the count for each state and the total vote count for each candidate, one winner was announced from each party. They will continue their campaigns throughout the week with campaign meetings, media day, and the final election day.
