Students were tasked to build both a plane and a slingshot to launch said rocket, using cardboard, sticks, tape, rubber bands, and PVC pipe. The goal was to see how far their aircraft could get, as well as ensuring that the glider separated from the launching mechanism in hopes that it could actually catch some air to be more plane and less arrow. Teams were given three chances to adjust their launching techniques and see who could fly the farthest!
