Leadership: Communication and Collaboration

Leadership is the core of the NSLC, and Leadership Facilitator Lauren Ball has met with the students multiple times throughout the session to strengthen these skills. Today's activities focused on collaboration and communication — both verbal and nonverbal. Lauren explained the different levels of listening, and gave examples of how body language and tone can play a huge part in how a message is interpreted. Students then participated in activities designed to show how different methods of listening and communicating shape an interaction.
