Introduction to the Environmental Science Program Woods Hole Field Trip

Today, the students were introduced to the environmental science program, gaining valuable insights into what to expect and getting to know their Teaching Assistants (TAs) better. They then engaged in a lively icebreaker activity called "Lost at Sea," where they ranked survival items made by coast guards in preparation for tomorrow's exciting field trip to Cape Cod. Today, the students embarked on an early morning field trip to Cape Cod, where they boarded a boat to collect samples of marine life. They also had the opportunity to explore the Ocean Science Discovery Center in Massachusetts. During this immersive experience, they gained knowledge about the importance of natural biodiversity and the detrimental impact of pollution on our seas. It was a day filled with hands-on learning and a deeper understanding of marine ecosystems.
