Today, the LEAD students got a chance to give back to the community through service! They split into two groups, working at both the Salvation Army and the Capital Area Food Bank. At the Salvation Army, students helped pack over 300 bags of food, in addition to sorting and cleaning the facility for future volunteers. At the food bank, they formed an assembly line to put together boxes, load food into them, and seal them with tape before loading the boxes onto pallets. Each student got a chance to work at both sites, totaling around five hours of community service for the day!
