Myoelectric Arm

Today the Biotech students created a rudimentary prosthetic arm that is operated via the electrical impulses of their arms. This is always a favorite amongst students and staff because of the teamwork and skills required. The students have to learn and implement skills related to coding, wiring, circuitry, and prototyping. For many, this is the first time they have tried something like this and to see their eyes light up the first time they get their arm to move is great. After building and testing the arm they headed outside to try their "hand" at an obstacle course that required them to use the arm for various tasks.
