Today, Law Intensive students participated in their moot court trials at the American University Washington College of Law. Here, they were paired into teams of two and argued either for or against the reversal of a previous case decision from a lower court. Students were presented with the facts of the case, and other relevant historical cases, earlier in the session and planned their arguments in their appellate sections throughout the week. TAs acted as the judges and ensured that students could back up their reasoning using court rulings from historical cases.
