The Medicine Intensive students took their skills outside today for a look into survival medicine in the wilderness! At a local nature reserve, they experimented with different methods of carrying someone who is injured, learned new rope knots to create a makeshift gurney for a dummy, built leg and arm splints out of sticks, and tried their hand at wound care. The students had a blast getting the chance to spend the day outside with all of their friends and learning more about their favorite subject!
